Around eight o’clock on Thursday morning I got a call from my friend Kent. Kent is a journalist for a large central California newspaper and is also involved with the fishing report. I’m glad I know  Kent because I always can find out where the fish are biting. This is a good thing because the fish aren’t always biting very much anymore. I have been pursuing some LEED certification training and have not had an opportunity to do much fishing. I’ll be done with my training soon and then can fish. When I am busy doing the tourist thing I like to relax in the late afternoon in a health and fitness club.  A good swim after a day of sight seeing gets my body back into the proper form so that I can enjoy a evening on the town.  The irish tourism information people were able to set me up at the Portlaoise Heritage Hotel for a two night bed and breakfast with dinner special.  It was handy to have the pool available in the hotel and we really enjoyed the Spago Italian Bistro.  I can see why people like to return to Ireland.
