You are Never too old to Learn the Blues
November 8th, 2009 . by adminI felt guilty for not visiting my grandfather. He lived in another state and had been widowed for a year. I worried that he was just too energetic to enjoy shuffleboard or other senior activities. I finally just hopped a plane and went to see him. The first thing I heard as I walked up to his house was the sound of a guitar. As I stepped in I saw Grandpa and an instructor who was giving him a blues guitar lesson. To my amazement, Gramps sounded good! All the time I had been worrying that he was bored or lonely, my grandfather had been hanging with musicians and learning to play the blues, which he had loved his whole life.
