Witnessing someone having a seizure can look very scary, but it only looks worse than what it actually is.  I say this because I suffer from seizures; and I try to educate people that most of them do not cause permanent damage.  For me, the symptoms of a seizure include feeling tingling in my legs, and seeing neon lights.  Symptoms will be different for each individual, and no two cases are ever the same.  You just have to know your body, and be able to recognize how your body responds to an episode.  Also, getting feedback from family can help as well.
