Most people define toys as something our children play with. That is a wide category of things at many price levels but it also leaves out an entire category of toys. What about the things adults play with? Aren’t they also toys? Our fishing boat, ski’s, skeet guns, off road vehicles and even scuba gear are toys. We just forget to broaden out think of toys to include adult toys. Believe me marketers haven’t but they also know better than to call them toys. When I was asked to write about adult toys I was told specifically not to refer to them as toys.
