Unsure About Scallops
February 20th, 2010 . by adminWhen I go to the seafood counter or down the frozen food aisle at the supermarket, I’m just not sure about buying scallops. When I get them in a restaurant, I always enjoy them. However, when I think about cooking them at home, a scallops recipe just doesn’t spring to mind. Does anyone have one to offer? They’re not as flavorful as shrimp, so I’m thinking they probably need to be combined with shrimp or with some other seafood. Then it starts to get complicated, and I just end up picking out a piece of tuna or something instead. Are scallops flavorful enough on their own in some dish or other that’s not to hard to prepare? I know they’re good for you and that they don’t take very long to cook at all, so that’s a plus.
