Some are there for getting advice and help. Some are there for getting into debates. Some are there just to network and hang out with friends. The largest forum on the web is considered to be Gaia Online that has an incredible Gaia has 1,721,421,551 messages posted with 20,953,639 registered users (as at 4 February 2010). That is an incredible 1.7 billion messages and 20.9 million members. All forums aspire to that level of interaction and size.
