September 29th, 2009 . by adminFootball referees have to be Alert to diving from players attempting to get a free kick, or penalty. That seems to be the case with Arsenal player Eduardo. In a vital European match featuring Arsenal, at home at the Emirates Stadium, against Celtic of Scotland, Eduardo appears to have tried to deceive the referee by diving, thus winning a penalty. The final score ended up at 3-1 to the Gunners. EUFA, the European football’s governing body could ban the Croatian striker for up to two games. EUFA meets to decide the case on September 1st. Some are now calling for referees to be able to use technology to replay certain parts during the match to help them to make the correct decision.
